Today, City of Edinburgh Council was minded to approve our client Chris Stewart Group’s mixed use development at The Registers.
The plans will transform the former Royal Bank of Scotland Headquarters at 41 – 42 St Andrew Square into a restaurant, gymnasium and residential apartments, and a new grade A office, retail/food and beverage development is proposed at South St Andrew Street / West Register Street, incorporating the ornate façade of 28 West Register Street.
The development is a catalytic component of the wider Register Lanes regeneration initiative, including enhanced access to the St James redevelopment.
