Scott Hobbs Planning (SHP) hosted a public exhibition event for the general public on the 15th June from 4pm to 8pm at The Capital Business Centre on Canning Street, presenting the initial concept and proposals of a major mixed-use development at Dewar Place, Edinburgh.
After submitting a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN), SHP completed an extensive marketing campagin, including leaflet drops, newspaper adverts and public posters in the area, encouraging members of the local community to visit and participate at the event. On behalf of clients Scottish Power Energy Networks and the consortium C220, SHP presented the initial concept and proposals alongside the project’s development team, seeking feedback from the local residents and businesses.
The event was well attended and the feedback from the local community was generally positive, and will be used to help inform furture designs which will be presented at the second public exhibition event at the same venue later in the year (date TBC) before a forthcoming planning application..
The proposal site, known as Exchange 2 is one of the ‘Edinburgh 12’ sites designated for major redevelopment in the city and will be an extension of Edinburgh’s successful commercial area, The Exchange District.
