SHP is leading the planning process on behalf of Kaimes Renewable Energy Park for a major proposal for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), at land to the west of Kaimes sub station, Old Burdiehouse Road. It is the first development of this form in the Edinburgh area. SHP is project managing the planning process, including pre-application discussions, submission of PAN, EIA Screening and attending public events to explain the proposals. The first event was held in May 2023 and the second feedback event will be held on 31 August at Valley Park Community Centre.
