SHP (Scott Hobbs Planning) has gained planning permission for the change of use of the west wing of the A listed City Chambers, at 329 High Street, Edinburgh. The proposals included the change of use from offices to Class 1 (retail) and Class 3 (café/restaurant) uses at ground, basement and mezzanine level, with 24 serviced apartments (sui generis) above, together with sensitive external alterations. Twenty-one of the apartments are studio type, including three DDA compliant and the remaining three are one-bedroom.
