Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission Secured at 329 High Street, Edinburgh

SHP (Scott Hobbs Planning) has gained planning permission for the change of use of the west wing of the A listed City Chambers, at 329 High Street, Edinburgh. The proposals included the change of use from offices to Class 1 (retail) and Class 3 (café/restaurant) uses at ground, basement and mezzanine level, with 24 serviced apartments (sui generis) above, together with sensitive external alterations. Twenty-one of the apartments are studio type, including three DDA compliant and the remaining three are one-bedroom. The Development Management Sub Committee considered the proposals acceptable and granted listed building consent and planning permission. Client: Chris Stewart Group.  Architect: ISA.
