SHP has submitted an application for a mixed-use development at Bridge Street, Nuneaton, a prominent site within the heart of Nuneaton Town Centre. The proposed development seeks the demolition of the existing department store at the site with the re-development of the site to deliver 73 PRS apartments and ground floor commercial and retail space across five separate buildings. The site is dissected by the River Anker which is a key focus of the proposed development with the creation of extensive new public realm and a pedestrian footbridge across the river creating greater permeability and accessibility for all users. The proposal has the opportunity to become an exemplar project and a key contributor to the regeneration of Nuneaton Town Centre, a key aim for the Council. SHP will continue to manage the application process to a decision.
