Planning Permission in Principle for Major Residential Development in South Lanarkshire Minded to Grant Subject to S75

SHP are pleased to announce planning permission in principle has been minded to grant subject to a S75 agreement, for a major residential development at Former Speyside Distillery, Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. This application was submitted following submission of a Proposal of Application Notice in 2017 and pre-application consultation with the local community. The proposed development comprises up to 185 residential units consisting of a mixture of cottage flats, colony flats, semi-detached housing, apartments, access, associated open space and landscaping. The South Lanarkshire Planning Committee agreed that the proposals are acceptable, utilising a design which reflects the surrounding area, at a density which is appropriate to the site location and accessibility.
