Planning Permission Secured by SHP at Craig of Stenton, Perthshire

July 25th 2019

SHP (Scott Hobbs Planning), working alongside McLaren, Murdoch & Hamilton Architects, have secured planning permission for the erection of a replacement dwellinghouse and garage at Craig of Stenton Farm, east of Dunkeld. The site is currently occupied by a small farmhouse at the northern side of the site together with a stone / brick-built steading building at the southern side of the site.  The site sits in rising hillside and is surrounded by mature woodland planting on the east and south sides of the site. The proposal involves the refurbishment and extension of the existing dwelling, demolition of the existing steading and its replacement with a new build development which will connect to the refurbished house through the creation of a two-storey link structure.  The new build element is to be built on the footprint of the demolished steading and will result in the creation of a large scale new traditionally proportioned dwelling on the site. A detached garage is also proposed.
