Success today for Scott Hobbs Planning at Local Review Body for a change of use from office use to single residential dwelling at 12 St Peter’s Buildings, Edinburgh for our client Stone Blue Property Ltd.
After a planning application was refused in September by City of Edinburgh Council, SHP were instructed to request a review of the decision, providing supporting evidence. At the latest Council Local Review Body Committee meeting planning permission was granted for the vacant ground floor and basement corner unit at Viewforth Local Centre. SHP successfully presented the case that despite being contrary to the council’s retail policy, the unit was unviable as a commercial unit in the poorly performing Local Centre of Viewforth and the only positive future use for the unit was residential.
