Success for change of use at 4 Torphichen Street

January 22nd 2016

Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent was recently granted for change of use from offices to residential apartments at 4 Torphichen Street, Edinburgh for Stone Acre Projects.

The Grade B building found in Edinburgh’s West End was the former offices for The Scottish Association of Bakers. The proposed sympathetic internal and external alterations will retain the building’s features, transforming it back to its original residential use, with four apartments.

After applications were submitted in November, it sees the third recent success for SHP with client Stone Acre, with similar proposals for change of use of listed buildings having been granted at neighbouring 8-12 Torphichen Street for twelve apartments and also at 17-21 Blackfriars Street in Edinburgh’s Old Town for change of use to residential apartments and cafe/restaurant.
