Success for mixed use development at King’s Stable Road

July 4th 2016

Scott Hobbs Planning (SHP) recently secured a ‘Minded to Grant’ decision from City of Edinburgh Council for proposals for a hotel, residential apartments, student accommodation, arts facility, a public square, retail and a restaurant/cafe.

After revisions to the designs were made to the application which SHP submitted in December 2015, and consultation with the Council, statutory consultees and residents, the development team presented the proposals to the Development Management Sub-Committee. The Committee voted in favour of the proposal which will transform the key brownfield site close to Edinburgh’s Grassmarket and the Castle, in the Old Town Conservation Area.

SHP acted on behalf of clients; Peveril Securities and Campus Development Management.
