SHP managed the pre-application process for a distillery development at Land Adjacent to Ocean Drive Edinburgh, including pre-application submission and liaison with Edinburgh City Council.
Application for Planning Permission was submitted September 2017 for proposed distillery (Sui Generis) and ancillary uses, including visitor experience/ tasting area and shop; office and restaurant, bar and external yard for distillery related serving and storage with SHP leading the management of the application.
Unfortunately, the Planning Permission was refused and a new application for an appeal was submitted to the DPEA (Planning and Environment Appeal Division) in September 2020. The appeal was then allowed by the reporter in May 2021.
