High quality residential development at Edmonstone Estate. The application for Matters Specified in Conditions was submitted in October 2024 and was approved through Delegated Decision in February 2025.
SHP was engaged in discussions with City of Edinburgh Council through a previous high rise scheme, after which a revised application for Matters Specified in Conditions was submitted. Key matters include ancient woodland designation, veteran tree, archaeology, active travel arrangements and sensitive design. SHP worked closely with the project team, in preparing a Planning Statement, liaising with the team on design evolution and advising on/contributing to other supporting documents. SHP was instrumental in successful negotiation with the Council’s internal consultees and ensuring liason with the Council through to a delegated decision in February 2025. This proposal will deliver high quality villas and townhouses set within ancient woodland.
