Internal and external alterations including demolition and redevelopment of the rear extensions and erection of an additional three storey rear extension to the existing hotel development. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent granted in April 2025.
Key matters include setting of listed buildings, St Andrews Conservation Area; supporting tourism and economic development; seritage sensitivity and sesign. SHP provided strategic planning advice on application approach and undertook pre-application discussions with Fife Council and Historic Environment Scotland (HES). Informed by the positive pre-app discussions, SHP worked closely with the project team including the architects and heritage consultants in preparing the Planning Statement, and supporting documentation. SHP worked on the submission of planning application and listed building consent, and through successfull negotiations with the planning officer and HES, SHP obtained a delegated officer approval for both planning application and listed building consents in April 2025.
